John Hrivnak

John Hrivnak was a member of the Ohio Army National Guard and deployed to Iraq in 2005 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom III. He served as a combat engineer and transitioned out of the military in 2008. John is currently the Director of Investment Funds at Rev1 Ventures, an investor startup studio that combines capital and strategic services to help startups scale and corporates innovate. In his role at Rev1, John helps entrepreneurs identify the right resources to build companies, find customers, and get the investment they need to grow their businesses. John also established and currently sits on the advisory board for the Columbus chapter of Bunker Labs, a national non-profit empowering military veterans as leaders in innovation and entrepreneurship. Prior to Rev1 and Bunker Labs, John helped build Techstars Patriot Boot Camp, a semi-annual event and program that inspires veterans, active duty service members, and their families to start their own companies. John received his undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University and holds an MBA from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
